Victor and Helen returned to Floyd to visit and to attend this year’s Hamvention.   They stayed at the Larsen’s home in Floyd. Dayton Hamvention is the world’s largest amateur radio gathering with about 22,000 in attendance this year.

Members of FAIRS presented the Dominican police with 24 portable radios and chargers during a trip to the island in February.

After January’s trip, and because of the current focus of FAIRS to increase emergency preparedness in the Eastern Caribbean, it was decided that a follow-up April trip was needed to Dominica--

Dominica Trip: New Years 2006 (Click)

Under leadership of FAIRS directors, A mission team was organized for the Dec. 27, 2005 - Jan. 7, 2006 visit. Team members transported donated radios, talkies, medical equipment, etc.  This trip was planned to minister specifically to the youth because they are the future of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
